St. Michael and All Angels, Hughenden serves a large and diverse parish including a number of villages near the town of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in the diocese of Oxford.
Our worship is as diverse as the parish we serve. On any Sunday we have a reflective early morning spoken service of Holy Communion, two services (one in the evening) with music led by a formal robed choir, that have a traditional feel, and also a service with music led by a music group that has a much more contemporary edge.
We seek to meet the spiritual needs of all who come, of whatever age, background and temperament; and our vision, reflected in our mission statement, is ‘to enable all to follow Jesus Christ’.
St. Michael and All Angels is of course associated with Hughenden Manor, the home of Benjamin Disraeli, who is buried at the Church. This historical association naturally attracts many visitors. However, we hope that when they come they will find a ‘house of prayer’ and a community filled with a living and vibrant faith.
At the heart of what we do lies the worship of God our Father as we seek to live out our lives as followers of Jesus his Son.
